In the 1950s (late 1950s) I was riding my bike down Harrison Street on my way to the grocery store for the first time. I wanted to surprise my dad and bring him a present. The little old man who owned the grocery store was so shocked over a 6 year old asking for a six-pack of beer, he actually put one in a brown bag and added it to my parents’ bill. Was my dad surprise? Oh yeah!

Today I’m blogging on Tina Glasneck’s site about my Sydney Lockhart mysteries, which are set in the 1950s. Stop by if you have a chance and tell me what your favorite decade is.
