1. Nick Buckley apparently had nine lives and was using them up rather quickly. Six unsuccessful attempts were made on her life. Hercule Poirot was outsmarted by her assassin. However, Poirot used his “little gray cells” along with the help of Scotland Yard to ferret out the criminal among all the possible suspects.
2. An archaeological dig in Iraq was the setting for a murder. The victim predicted her own death. The local authorities in Baghdad were stumped, but they were in luck. Hercule Poirot was passing through and was easily persuaded to help. Nurse Latheran became his assistant, but before they solved the case another apparent murder was committed.

3. As they say, “You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.” Bruno thought it would be the perfect plan to get rid of his interfering father: murder without any motive. Yet, all Guy wanted was a divorce. He had no intention of having his wife killed.
