When asked, “What Makes Me Happy?” quite a few things came to mind, but the one item that kept popping up was travel. Airplanes don’t excite me; they are more a dread than a joy any longer. Sometimes, though, they are a necessity and a convenience.
So we fly.
But we have also found a new mantra, The Journey Is The Destination because our perspective changed from just getting there to how we get there. We hope to buy a class B van and travel as much as we can. If we can’t get the van, we’ll head out by car and see this amazing country and listen to amazing music and be together and share the journey. That sounds like pure bliss.
Music has always been a part of my life. Playing an instrument or singing at the top of my voice in the car and just letting music flow through me. I love classical, rock, show/movie tunes, but most of all, now I love cinematic music. My absolute favorite is Enchantress by Thomas Bergersen. I call this type of music epic as it just ignites me. Makes me feel strong and able to tackle anything.
What are my profound beliefs? Wow, that is some question! 1) That we all have the same blood flowing through us. 2) That man’s inhumanity to man is a dark hole that will never go away, yet I yearn deeply for that hole to close. 3) That we should never stop questioning.
